GARISSA COUNTY OPENS REVIEW OF ITS GENDER POLICY

The Garissa County Department of Gender has opened a review of the Garissa County Gender Policy at a stakeholder meeting in Dadaab.

 The Garissa Regional Office of the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) is taking part alongside other stakeholders.

The review assesses progress, identifies emerging gender equality and inclusion priorities, and strengthens the provisions of the policy in response to the evolving needs of women, men, girls and boys across the county.

Stakeholders are contributing evidence, experience and recommendations to keep the policy responsive, inclusive and aligned with the county’s development priorities.
