The Commission and the Garissa County Government have called on the head of station at the Dadaab Law Courts to strengthen coordination on access to justice and gender-based violence cases.
The head of the Garissa Regional Office of the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC), Abdiwahab Ibrahim, and the County Executive Committee Member for Gender and Social Services, Hon. Hawa Sahal, paid the courtesy call on Principal Magistrate Hon. Vincent Nyaga.
The engagement addressed collaboration between the Commission, the county government and the Judiciary on access to justice, the handling of gender-based violence and sexual and gender-based violence cases, survivor-centred justice, and coordination among justice-sector actors.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional linkages and to supporting a coordinated, accessible and responsive justice system for women, children and other vulnerable groups in Dadaab and the wider Garissa County.
