The Kajiado Paralegal Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) to strengthen collaboration aimed at bringing legal services closer to communities and expanding access to justice, particularly for vulnerable and marginalised groups.
During the engagement, the Chapter presented the Commission with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its contribution to the Kiserian Legal Aid Clinic, where legal aid, human rights information and referral services were provided to members of the public. The recognition highlighted the Commission's continued efforts to promote legal empowerment and strengthen community access to justice.
The discussions also explored opportunities for deeper collaboration in legal awareness, civic education and community outreach. Both institutions underscored the importance of equipping citizens with knowledge of their constitutional rights and strengthening referral pathways that enable individuals to access legal and human rights services more effectively.
