The Commission's Nakuru Regional Office paid a courtesy call on Nakuru County Commissioner Dr. Loyford E. Kibaara, MBS, to strengthen collaboration on addressing Gender-Based Violence and femicide while advancing equality and inclusive governance across the county.
The engagement focused on enhancing multiagency efforts to strengthen GBV prevention, improve survivor support and referral systems, expand public awareness, and reinforce accountability to ensure timely access to protection and justice.
Discussions also highlighted the need to safeguard the participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, minorities and other Special Interest Groups as preparations for the 2027 General Election gather momentum.
The engagement reaffirmed that sustained collaboration between national and county institutions is essential to strengthening community safety, promoting inclusive governance, and advancing equality and freedom from discrimination in line with the Constitution.
