President Kibaki’s move to appoint commandant of the Kenya Airports Police unit Grace Kaindi as Deputy Inspector General has been praised by the National Gender and Equality Commission.
Chairperson Winfred Lichuma says Kibaki did the right thing by appointing her to take charge of the Kenya police which is in dire need of urgent reforms. Current acting Administration Police commandant Samuel Arachi has also been appointed to deputize Inspector General David Kimaiyo.
Kibaki also confirmed Ndegwa Muhoro as the new Director of Criminal investigations. -
