The National Gender and Equality Commission Staff Pension Scheme (NGECSPS) commenced on 1st March 2020. The Commission Staff Pension Scheme is governed through registered 2020 Trust Deed and Rules. These are in custody of the Commission, The Retirement Benefit Authority, Registrar of Lands, Kenya Revenue Authority, National Treasury Director of Pensions, the Scheme Administrators, and the Secretariat for the Board of Trustee.
The Pension Scheme had as of 30th June 2022 a membership of 93 members. The Scheme assets were valued at KShs.77.4 million at the end of June 2022. As a result, the Board of Trustees approved an interest allocation of 0.35% on the accumulated balances as of 30th June 2022.
The scheme has held two Annual General Meetings (AGM) the first one was held on 28th January 2022 and the second one on 9th December 2022.

The scheme has in the last two years endeavored to provide members with mandatory and necessary education about investment, retirement, additional voluntary contributions, contributions for medical cover, quality life including monitoring one’s lifestyles, among other areas.
